Dr. Dragos Pieptanariu, Razvan Puf and Narcis Ciubotariu have participated to “Training session on the use of Artificial Intelligence in medicine”. The first modules of the training session in the field of using Artificial Intelligence in medicine was held at the headquarters of the Faculty of Informatics Iași (UAIC).

The module included both theoretical sessions and examples of projects in the medical-tech field through university/industry collaboration, as well as “hands on” sessions. The training addressed participants from the medical area, medical bioengineering, chemistry and last but not least tech!

The second modules were held at the headquarters of the Faculty of Automation and Computers within TUIASI.
The last module of the series of seminars on the use of AI in medicine, within the MEDIMAG-IA project, took place on June 16 and 17, 2023, at the Center for Innovation and Technological Transfer – MAVIS and was dedicated to how AI in radiology and imaging medical was integrated by Rayscape into a product and introduced to the market.

The trainers, Bogdan Bercean and Stefan Iarcă, from Rayscape, spoke about the technical, but also the market and financing challenges of implementing AI in the field.
A special intervention from Philips, through Kees de Krom, Strategic Architect Enterprise Informatics and Roxana Barbu, Government & Public Affairs Manager Philips Health Systems, which gave us the vision of how its technologies and solutions integrates AI.

The training sessions are part of the Regional Center of Excellence for Personalized Diagnosis and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging (MEDIMAG-IA) project, co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020
