”Horizon 2020 Communication Campaign”

SupraChem Lab management team in collaboration with the Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation and European Commission DG Research & Innovation and the Culture Palace Iasi has organised on March 22, 2016 a campaign of information / communication entitled "H2020 Communication Campaign". The overall objective of the campaign was to train and to prevent financial and legal errors in project management and discuss national peculiarities.

During the meeting two posters with the SupraChem Lab Projects have been put at the conference entrance and SupraChem Lab Flyers have been offered to the participants. Dr. Mariana Pinteala made a presentation of SupraChem Lab project in the opening of the event. The event was broadcast on-line on yutoube.com. Intellectual Property Management in Horizon 2020

The event was addressing to the beneficiaries of European Grants, to representatives of the network of national contact points for the Horizon 2020 framework program and those interested in managing intellectual property (IP) and intellectual property (IPR) issues. The presentations are mainly supported by representatives from the European Commission. This event was also broadcasted on-line on yutoub.com and the SupraChem Management team provided a short presentation of the SupraChem Lab team and flyers and posters of the project. Details on the event are presented in D4.2 Second report on SupraChem Lab group integration and networking activities.

Dr Dumitru-Dorin Prunariu is Romanian cosmonaut and diplomat, the only Romanian cosmonaut that went in the space. He flew in space aboard Soyuz 40 spacecraft and Salyut 6 space laborator. Since 1978 Prunariu is active officer of the Romanian Air Force. For different periods of time Prunariu was detached within other ministries to perform civil functions. In 2007 he completely retired from the Air Force with the military rank of major general, continuing his professional activity as a civil servant. At the end of 2015, by a decree of the President of Romania, Prunariu received the 3rd star, becoming a lieutenant-general (ret.). In 2002 Prunariu was elected as the Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the UN COPUOS for the period February 2004 – February 2006, and in 2009 he was elected the Chairman of the UN COPUOS for the period of June 2010 – June 2012, accomplishing successfully his duties. Between 2006 and 2008 Prunariu accomplished the duties of the Director of the Romanian Office for Science and Technology to the European Commission (ROST) in Brussels. Currently, Prunariu is working for the Romanian Space Agency as an expert within the Romanian Association for Space Technology and Industry – ROMSPACE.

Dr Prunariu visit the SupraChem Lab and the IntelCentre in May 2017 and he also discussed with the management team of the SupraChem Lab project during the ceremony of awarding the title of Dr Honorius Cause of the “Gh Asachi” Technical University Iasi, 17.11.2017 (broadcast event on TVRIasi).

Visit of Dr. Jean-Luc Belmonte, Coordinator of the Scientific and University cooperation at the French Embassy in Romania, 08.11.2017

Dr. Jean-Luc Belmonte visited the IntelCentre, P. Poni Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Iasi to meet beneficiaries of the bilateral program French – Romania and also to promote a challenging contest “My these in 130 seconds” – contest that try to make science more open to general public. Dr. Jean-Luc Belmonte was accompanied by the Director of the French Institute, Iasi, Branch Dr. Aurélien Amigues. The visit was a good opportunity to disseminate information concerning the SupraChem Lab project.

Participation to voluntary program Lindenfeld Association for suport of orphanages located in Iasi
On the 26th of August and the 2nd of September 2017, the SupraChem Lab team, hosted a 2 day trainings for the Lindenfeld Association (the Ajungem Mari educational programme). This program sees volunteers share their knowledge (on languages, science, etc) through play with children and teenagers from 4 orphanages located in Iasi. The training aimed to equip the new volunteers with knowledge about the children together with the rules of the centres and answer their queries. One of the SupraChem Lab team (PhD student Radu Zonda) joined the voluntary group. Also, the SupraChem Lab team hosted visit of the children from the 4 orphanages (see next paragraph – PPIMC Open Days) in the group facility.

P. Poni Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry Open Days 2017, 04-09.2017
The ICMPP Open Days is a traditional activity performed during 2017, over a period of 5 months, when children from different schools in Iasi and other towns come and visit ICMPP and assist to different presentations related to chemistry to attract them to possible future career in science and in chemistry. The Open Days event offered the possibility for children from Iasi schools to visit ICMPP and several orphanages located in Iasi have been welcome in the institute

Romanian Academy Open Days 2015, “P. Poni” Institute Conference on Trends in Modern Macromolecular Chemistry, 24-26.09.2015, Iasi, Romania

The SupraChem Lab management team contributed to the organization of the traditional PPIMC Conference on Trends in Modern Macromolecular Chemistry and Dr. Teodora Rusu made a presentation of the SupraChem Lab Project Also during the meeting, a poster promoting the SuparChem Lab was put near the official registration desk in order to promote the project.

The kick of meeting was organised in PPIMC on 17.07.2015 and beside the aspects related to SupraChem Lab Management (see details D1.1 First periodic management report) the meeting was a very good opportunity for dissemination of the project goals:
